It's hard to say whether this works because it only has programs for older phones (I was trying to unlock a U6 PEBL). Additionally, every application I tried required a physical connection to the phone (USB, etc.), but I was looking for something that used the IMEI code. I can neither recommend nor caution against this software. Iwill say, however, that since this is freeware, it's worth a try if you're working with older technology.

                Hello,

this is the second time I am trying the universal Simlock remover.
Both times with Nokia mobiles. This time with Nokia 6233, locked to T-mobile. Using the standard procedure of Nokia it did not work. (Phone produced in Oct 2007.)

On the first occation - about 2 years ago - I tried to unlock a Nokia phone locked to Telenor - where the phone was more than two years old. With several attempts - no success. (The unlock then worked after having consulted the Telenor home page and getting the unlock code from them.)

This software was not relevant beyond 2004, so unless you have a very old phone like an Ericsson T18, it is useless.

to be honest this didn't help, it will help with other things but not for
the N70, it has BB5 locks which would apear to be pretty difficult to find
the software for/unlatch. it does seem like pretty useful software just not
what i need.
